Have a Heart Animal Welfare Fund’s mission is to provide support to homeless and needy dogs in Ulster County. We provide food, emergency medical care, and spay/neuter services for shelter dogs and dogs living in low income households. Have a Heart Animal Welfare Fund networks with local animal control facilities to place abandoned dogs in loving homes. We are a 501c3 non-profit volunteer run organization. Your tax deductible donations go directly to the care of the animals.

    The goal and intention of Have A Heart Animal Welfare Fund, Inc is:

  • To pay for the spay and neuter of dogs from local pounds, shelters and low income households.

  • To help pay Veterinarian and Medical costs (including vaccinations) for dogs at local pounds, shelters and in low income households.

  • To provide educational clinics, classes and printed information on dog obedience, behavior, bite prevention, basic care.

  • To help find homes for the homeless dogs in the local pounds and shelters by
     utilizing Internet sites such as Petfinder and other such site.

  • We also have events where people can meet dogs for potential adoptions.

  • To help with the purchase and distribution of food to any households, pounds, shelters that cannot afford to feed the dogs in their care.
